My Life- Final Project

3. a)  I have a lot of the same music, but I used different parts of the song and I mixed them in  GarageBand.
    b)  I used It's My Life by Bon Jovi, Remember the Time by Michael Jackson, and for my pictures I used Isn't She Lovely by Stevie Wonder
    c)  I used It's My Life and Remember the Time because I wanted to use something that went along with my movie.  I used Isn't She Lovely because as soon as I was born that was the song that came on the radio as the Doctor said "It's a girl!"
4. a)  I used a lot of plus signs. ie- 1995+billboard hits
    b)  I used Google Chrome
    c)  I found a few unreliable websites, but for the most part I found websites that were reliable.
5.  I used a lot of Mac tools.  I used iMovie and GarageBand to make the movie and I also used PowerPoint to make and Word.
6.  I really liked finding putting all of my pictures together in PowerPoint
7.  I really didn't have a hard time at all.  It took a while to figure out how I wanted it to look but after I figured that out, it was easy.
8. a)  I did decide to use still slides
    b)  I just started to do the project before I really thought too much about the way I wanted it to look.
    c)  I didn't.  I used a specific background for each part of my movie, though.
    d)  I didn't want my movie to have the same background for the whole thing.  I wanted a little bit of change.
9.  I used video to show what the fashion was like.
10.  I'm not sure what kind of class I could tell My Life in.  But in general just the tools all put together this could be used in many classes.  I did a project just like this without the music in Biology.
11.  I bought all of my music that I used, so that's one thing that I didn't have to worry about for the Copy Right Law.  I also cited all of my information. (:
12.  I think I would, because I really liked putting this together.

Music Genome Reflection

1.  I chose Pop Music, because that's my favorite genre and that's mainly what I have the most music on.
2.  I searched "Famous Pop Artists from the 2000's" then went from there to find my songs from my iTunes library.
3.  I used Mac tools...iMovie and GarageBand
4.  It was easy for me to mix the music and get it to play at the right time.
5.  It was hard for me to pick and choose the information I wanted to use, because I wasn't sure what i wanted or needed to put in to get the right amount of information in.
6.  I did use still slides, because I could fit more information on the PowerPoint slides than I could in the iMovie slides.
7.  I could use this in Lit if we ever had to do a project that had to incorporate audio and information.
8.  For my music I got it all out of my iTunes library, so that means I bought it.
9.  If I had to do a project that required all of the information that had to be in this project, then yes I would do this again.

iMovie reflection

2. Student Government
3. I helped make the movie and I edited after it was made.
4. I learned about Student Government
5. We all got along and the clips we put in was easy to agree on.
6. We weren't sure what to put in our movie at first, but once we got that figured out, we didn't have any problems.
7. We looked at the storyboard, but it didn't follow it completely.
8. I didn't know anything on how to put video in the movie, so i learned that.
9. In Honors Biology with Mr. Beckman we can make a movie to explain our pond water.
10. We wrote our own script, and we used interviews we took ourselves. The song we got was from YouTube, and we converted it through Zamzar.
11. If i had the choice, i would probably use iMovie over Power Point, like in Biology.

Podcast

1.  What tools and techniques did you use to create your podcast? I used many tools and techniques in my project.  I mainly used YouTube to find audio and Zamzar to convert, but I had to use QuickTime recorder to record a part of what I needed to use because the file was too big for Zamzar to download.

2.  How could you use a project like this in other classes? I would use this if I had to do a project explaining something and we had to use our computers, this would be a great way of going about the project.

3.  In the “real world,” how could podcast projects be used (In what careers/businesses, etc.)? You could use a podcast if you wanted to present something new. You could have yourself talking about the item or whatever it is and have yourself talking about the item.

4.  In this project, what did you get good at doing? I got good at recording my voice and putting everything in the right places so that everything flows.

5. What was the most difficult part of the assignment?
The most difficult part of the assignment was definitely recording my voice and having to listen to my own voice after it was recorded.

6.  Would you do a project like this on your own?  I probably wouldn't do a project like this on my own unless we had to to a project with no specific guidelines and it had to be creative.

iPhoto Reflection

1. Upload your movie.
2. Which search terms did you use to find images (for the letters of your name and the images that describe you) and why? I used Google and my computer at home.
3. What skills did you use/learn in this project? I learned how to make a movie!
4. Describe how you might use these skills and apply them to a real-world situation. I would use this if i ever had to make a video for work.
5. This was a more creative project than our first 2. Did you prefer it or the more cut and dry assignments in Word and Excel? NO!!! I liked this project so much more than the other two projects!!!

M&M

1. What is a template?
2. What functions did your spreadsheet perform?
3. What skills did you use/learn in this project?
4. Describe how you might use these skills and apply them to a real-world situation.

1.  A document or file having a preset format, used as a starting point for a particular application so that the format does not have to be recreated each time it is used.
2. The spreadsheet let me see differences in how many colors each bag of M&Ms people had.
3.  I learned how to use a spreadsheet, because I have never made a spreadsheet before.
4.  If I ever had to make a spreadsheet for work such as making a comparison between a few things.
